Saturday the 9th January 2010 Karnak was abuzz with activity. The Ceremonial Cast was in makeup, the Recorder was verifying the agenda, and the Divan were removing their fez strips and jewels.

After the business part of the meeting the ladies and guests were invited to join the Nobles in the main hall. Noble Lyle Byers (Potentate Ceremonial Cast) and the cast entered the hall and were invited to install the officers for 2010.

Gilbert Chartier was installed as the Potentate of Karnak for 2010. His fez was marched to the front by the Provost Corps, presented to our first Lady Gail Chartier, who passed it on to Ill. Sir Rory who fezzed our new Potentate.

The elected and appointed officers were installed by the cast and then Ill. Sir Gilbert thanked the Ceremonial Cast and permitted them to retire.

Ill. Sir Gilbert presented Ill. Sir Stephen with his Immediate Past potentates jewel and Lady Gail presented flowers to Lady Heather.

Ill. Sir Gilbert then presented certificates to the new Shriners who were present. Ill Sir Gilbert then appointed Noble Merv Wood an Ambassador for Karnak Temple. Ill. Sir Gilbert thanked everyone presented and closed the Temple.

The hall was then set up for the evening festivities. The new Potentate Ill. Sir Gilbert and his Divan were piped into Karnak Temple. The meal was delicious and the entertainment was great, Noble Rick Brousseau put on a great skit as he was dressed as a telephone lineman referring to the career of our Ill. Sir.
