Greeters Unit
We provide transportation for our out-of-town Kids and their guardians to The Shriners Hospital or to a Montreal area lodging for their stay while in town for their appointment. We are the Friendly & Welcoming men wearing the Fez at the airport after a long day's journey.

We promote hospitality and good fellowship within the membership of Karnak , and extend the Shrine hand of fellowship to Nobles and their Ladies visiting their Hospital on the Hill, providing guided tours as requested.

The Greeters, by special request of the Potentate, may be also be assigned to carry out other duties during special occasions

Greeters are virtually "on the job" every day!

Members' duties are to attend all functions of Karnak, be available for patient transportation from the airport to downtown Montreal , provide general support to the Potentate and members of the Divan, and assist all other organized groups of the Shrine so that brotherly love, goodwill, and fellowship, may be firmly established.

Specific Key Activities for the Unit during the year:

Daily Airport Pickups result in significant savings to the Hospital by avoiding taxi expenses.

The Greeters are prominent in all parades that Karnak participates in…usually in golf cars towing trailers with Hospital and Shriner advertising.

Perform key roles in all Karnak fund raising events.

Act as Aides for special events and Hospital Tour Guides as necessary.

Fund raising activities and events for the benefit of the Hospital and Karnak .

General Unit meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each per month from September through May, with new officers elected in November, and installation conducted in January each year.
